Priorities for advocacy

A document from the Office of Budget Management (OMB) outlining a plan for Health and Human Services (HHS) spending was leaked earlier this week. The memo outlines possible cuts to the department of Health and Human Services, including no funding for states' DD Networks.  We need to tell federal legislators from Georgia why the DD Network is important to people with IDD! 

The Federal Government passed the House Budget Resolution which calls for $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid over the next 10 years. While we are not sure what that looks like yet, we know cuts to Medicaid are bad for people with disabilities and bad for HCBS. We need to tell federal legislators  how Medicaid Waiver funded HCBS supports make Georgia and others states better. More information about possible changes and how to advocate below.
