What is an unlockGA ambassador?
UnlockGA is recruiting six leaders with IDD living in each of the six GA regions to be UnlockGA Ambassadors. Ambassadors will help recruit UnlockGA members & make sure UnlockGA knows about important issues across the state.
What Does Being an UnlockGA Ambassador Look like?
UnlockGA Ambassadors meet monthly with the UnlockGA team to share about what is happening & important to people using or wanting to use HCBS in their region.
UnlockGA Ambassadors share information about UnlockGA with people in their regions to get more people across the state involved in UnlockGA.
UnlockGA Ambassadors share resources & information that will help people in their regions stay up to date about & advocate for HCBS in GA.
More Information
To be an UnlockGA Ambassador you must be
- A person with IDD living in Georgia.
- Interested in using HCBS.
- Willing to reach out to people in your region to share information and ask questions about what is important for their lives and services.
UnlockGA Ambassadors will be paid $50/ hour for up to 4 hours per month of work. They will meet in person once in fall 2025, and will meet virtually every month with the UnlockGA team.
